Terms & Conditions

The rules that govern every quote, booking and shipment executed by Versara Logistics. Written in plain English — please read before using our services.

Last updated: 17 February 2026

1. Definitions

"Company", "Versara", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Versara Logistics, a road-freight service registered in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

"Customer", "Consignor", "Shipper", "you" and "your" refer to the person or entity that books a shipment or contracts services from Versara.

"Consignment" means the goods handed over to Versara for movement from a pickup point to a drop point specified in the booking.

"Services" means road-freight transportation, E-Way Bill generation, GST invoicing, live tracking and any ancillary services offered by Versara.

"Site" means versaralogistics.com and any Versara-operated sub-domain, portal or mobile interface.

2. Acceptance of terms

By requesting a quote, booking a shipment, or otherwise using the Site or Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

For recurring shippers, a Master Transportation Agreement (MTA) may be executed. In case of conflict between these Terms and the MTA, the MTA prevails to the extent of the inconsistency.

3. Services and eligibility

Versara operates a pan-India own-fleet road-freight service. Available offerings include Full Truck Load (FTL), Part Load (PTL), and Multi-drop shipments across the Indian highway network.

Certain cargo categories (e.g., hazardous materials, cold-chain and refrigerated goods) are marked as "coming soon" and are not accepted on new bookings until publicly announced.

Bookings are subject to truck availability. Versara reserves the right to accept, reject, or reschedule any booking at its sole discretion, in which case any advance paid will be refunded.

4. Customer obligations

You warrant that the weight, quantity, and description of goods declared in every booking are true and accurate to the best of your knowledge.

You are responsible for correct classification and labelling of goods, providing valid consignor/consignee GSTIN, and ensuring that all statutory documents (invoice, delivery challan, etc.) accompany the consignment.

You must not tender any restricted or contraband goods for movement. Versara may refuse dispatch at any time if such goods are discovered.

You are responsible for making the consignment available at the pickup location on the agreed date and time, and for ensuring an authorised representative is available to receive delivery at the drop point.

5. Quotes, bookings and pricing

Online quotes are indicative and subject to truck availability, live diesel index, toll charges and the accuracy of the details entered.

A booking is confirmed only after Versara's operations team allocates a vehicle and sends a confirmation email with a secure payment link.

Freight charges are inclusive of standard road-freight movement. Additional charges — including but not limited to detention, demurrage, loading/unloading beyond agreed time, multi-drop stops, and diversion — will be billed separately at rates communicated at the time of booking or in the MTA.

6. Payment

Retail bookings require an advance payment via the emailed pay-link to lock the vehicle; the balance is due before or on delivery per the invoice terms.

Contract customers with an executed MTA may avail agreed credit terms; overdue invoices attract interest at the rate specified in the MTA (or, in the absence of an MTA clause, 1.5% per month).

All amounts are in Indian Rupees (INR). Prices displayed are inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise.

7. Weight discrepancy

If the actual weight of a consignment is found to differ from the declared weight, Versara reserves the right to bill the consignor for the shortfall at a penalty rate, in addition to recovery of any fine, detention cost, or other loss arising from the discrepancy.

Versara also reserves the right to refuse dispatch of any consignment where the actual weight is found to materially exceed the declared weight at the time of pickup.

8. Liability and cargo insurance

Standard carrier liability applies per the Carriage by Road Act, 2007 and the Carriage by Road Rules, 2011, unless a higher-value declaration and matching cargo-insurance premium have been accepted by Versara in writing.

Consignors are encouraged to declare CIF value and take supplementary cargo insurance. Versara can arrange cover through partner insurers on request.

Claims must be raised within 7 (seven) days of delivery, supported by the signed POD, invoice, photographs and (where applicable) a surveyor report. Claims raised after this window may be time-barred at Versara's discretion.

Under no circumstances shall Versara be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or business opportunity.

9. Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel a booking free of charge until a vehicle is allocated. Cancellations after allocation may attract a positioning charge based on the distance already covered by the assigned truck.

Refunds of advance payments (net of positioning or admin charges, if any) will be processed to the original payment instrument within 7–10 business days of cancellation.

10. Force majeure

Versara shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, floods, riots, strikes, lockouts, blockades, regulatory actions, road closures, epidemics, and acts of god.

In such events, Versara will make reasonable efforts to complete the movement as soon as conditions allow, but no consequential loss shall be payable.

11. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including logos, brand marks, illustrations, imagery, text, code and design — is owned by Versara Logistics or its licensors and is protected under Indian and international IP law.

13. Changes to these terms

Versara may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the Site with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any arbitration clause in a signed MTA, the courts at Pune, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from services provided by Versara Logistics.
